A portion of Airline Highway appears to be sinking, but Caltrans said the road is not slated for repairs for several years.

Resident concerned about sinking road
A local resident is concerned that an area of Airline Highway
south of Tres Pinos is sinking too much, just a few years after
work had been done to the section of the road. The resident
explained to the Pinnacle how the area is midway between Bolado
Park and the Paicines General Store, near 10200 Airline Highway. It
had been repaired but is again sinking, possibly from the recent
wet weather, and causing vehicles to become off kilter.

It might be a while before Caltrans addresses such matters, though. A Caltrans spokeswoman noted how she does not see any overlay or minor road work to that area of Hwy. 25 “in the real near future.” There is a project in a “very preliminary” stage to do overlay work on a 47-mile stretch of the highway starting at Ridgemark Drive, but that is many years away and there is no attached time frame to it.
