Resident had expressed concern about visibility

The city’s public works department has taken care of an overgrown bush that had caused a sight impediment near a residential intersection.

A resident reported to the Pinnacle the overgrown bush at Valley View Road and Union Road. Pinnacle staff first wrote about the bush Sept. 17, and left a message for Public works officials about the impediment.

Public works official Marcelo Orta, who oversees such matters, confirmed to the Pinnacle that the city has cut back the vegetation.

The bush that caused the concern is just off of Airline Highway in an area where a lot of traffic occurs.

Orta and public works officials have a tendency to respond promptly to such issues because they can cause safety risks.
