Hollister and other cities in the region is back and once again
started placing them. The promoter in recent years has posted the
signs on poles, fences and other objects promoting bird and gun
show events in San Jose, even though it is against the city
code.
Hollister’s code enforcement division last week responded to the
rash of signs by removing about 28 of them, according to the
office, which removes them when notified about the issues.

The promoter who likes to illegally post signs all over Hollister and other cities in the region is back and once again started placing them. The promoter in recent years has posted the signs on poles, fences and other objects promoting bird and gun show events in San Jose, even though it is against the city code.

Hollister’s code enforcement division last week responded to the rash of signs by removing about 28 of them, according to the office, which removes them when notified about the issues.

Violators such as the Gun Show promoter are subject to daily fines of $100 for each offense. According to the Hollister Municipal Code, the off-site signs are among an array of sign types that are prohibited within city limits.
