A dip worth fixing on Sally Street
Drivers on a stretch of Sally Street near Nash Road in Hollister have had a rough time navigating through potholes and cracks that crop up with some frequency there. The latest culprit is a rather large pothole right smack in the middle of the street on the Sally Street side of the intersection as drivers turn off heading toward downtown.
Julian Gaytan, a streets department official with the City of Hollister, pointed out that residents in the area on Sally Street have complained about potholes arising in the past. He called it a “pretty bad street out there” and said city workers “will patch it up every Friday if they call.”
The city employee was referring to the department’s routine of collecting a list of potholes needing to be filled each week for the repairs conducted on Fridays. He said that with The Pinnacle informing the city of this impediment, city crews would be on top of it and they would get it taken care of as soon as possible, possibly by today.
“We’ll check that out and see if we can take care of it,” he said.
