Redevelopment Agency has moved into Old City Hall
Hollister’s redevelopment agency office is moving into the old
City Hall in a relocation that should save thousands of dollars per
month.
The RDA on Sept. 23 announced the move in a statement. It had
been in the works since April 2010 when the city informed the YMCA
of San Benito County it had to move from the donated,
Hollister-owned space. The YMCA last year moved into the former
Fortino’s building at at 351 Tres Pinos Road.

Hollister’s redevelopment agency office is moving into the old City Hall in a relocation that should save thousands of dollars per month.

The RDA on Sept. 23 announced the move in a statement. It had been in the works since April 2010 when the city informed the YMCA of San Benito County it had to move from the donated, Hollister-owned space. The YMCA last year moved into the former Fortino’s building at at 351 Tres Pinos Road.

The city stated in its announcement that the RDA offices will be relocated Monday from 550 Monterey St. – the Porter House building rented by the city for $4,000 monthly – to the former City Hall at 339 Fifth St.

The RDA offices temporarily will be located at the rear of the building. Tenant improvements are planned to establish permanent offices at the front of the building for the staff and to establish a new “City of Hollister Payment Center for business licenses, water and sewer bills in another portion of the building,” according to the announcement.
