A resident notified the Pinnacle about overgrown tree branches impeding visibility at a turn from Line Street onto Nash Road. The resident noted how he believes it’s a safety issue and that he has experienced difficulty in traffic at that intersection.

Hollister public works official Marcelo Orta said because that particular tree extends from private property, the city must obtain a liability waiver before entering the property to trim the branches. Orta noted how the owner of that property has been cooperative in the past.

“By law, I can’t go into a private property and work without having a release of liability from them,” said Orta, noting how the department would move ahead on addressing the problem.
