HOLLISTER
An earthquake gave Hollister a steady, brief shake this afternoon, but only registered as a magnitude-2.7, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake slightly shook Hollister at 12:33 p.m., according to the USGS Web site. Its epicenter was five miles east of Hollister and five miles north of Tres Pinos, according to the agency.
The quake was a depth of 4.3 miles, according to the USGS.
