The Hollister Ace Hardware store is looking to not only help
residents recycle their old Christmas lights, but also raise money
for charity.
Through the holidays, the store at 1707 Airline Highway will be
taking in used lights from residents, and the proceeds are going to
the charity Families of Children with Cancer, said manager Al
Tarasco, who noted how the City of Hollister had dropped off a
bundle of lights Tuesday.
The Ace Hardware store collects the lights and plans to send
them to a distribution center once they come in.
