Cars get backed up on Ladd Lane when drivers turn left on to Hillock Dr.

Resident complains about potholes near shopping area

A resident called the Red Phone this week to complain about a growing number of potholes on Ladd Lane near the shopping centers in the area, where there is relatively busy traffic.

City of Hollister Public Works Department official Marcelo Orta responded by noting that the city plans to look at addressing the problem in February when school is out.

The city has been in contact with R.O. Hardin and Ladd Lane schools about their upcoming vacation schedules, which includes a week off in February, so crews can complete needed work.

He said the city will probably look into fixing those conditions during that time because there will be less traffic.
