Join family and friends to celebrate Bob’s life November 19, 2012, 11:00 A.M., West Hills Community Church 16695 De Witt Avenue, Morgan Hill with reception to follow at the family home.

Bob died, as a result of an accident which occurred on a long range fishing trip out of San Diego. He succumbed to his injuries, at Scripps Memorial Hospital, La Jolla, following complications after surgery.

Survived by wife and best friend Helene Irene Popenhager, son Robert Popenhager, Jr., Seattle; daughter Sheri Fiscalini, San Martin; grandchildren Joshua, Lindsey, and Adryna Popenhager, Seattle; Robert and Jacklyn Fiscalini, San Martin, and adoring chocolate lab, Hershey.

He grew up attending local schools in the Willow Glen area of San Jose, and served in the U.S. Army. He spent a number of years as a building contractor, and ultimately found joy as a teacher becoming a certified NSCA (National Sporting Clays Association) Level II Shooting Instructor. His reputation grew and he was in demand for instruction and coaching.

Bob’s life passion was all things outdoors. He cherished the fellowship of the Sainte Claire Club and found the Monday lunches the best of times.

He and his “corny”sense of humor will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
