Over the last few weeks, you read about our upcoming rummage sale on 18-20 Oct (details below).Â
First of all, we hope you all can attend and help make this a really wonderful event for our critters, either as a donor of items or a buyer of treasures! It’s a lot of work, but a lot of fun, too!Â

if you can:
   1.   Help with the event preparations (set-up, during the event, and/or tear-down). We need LOTS of volunteers to make this work. Set-up and tear-down are good opportunities for your kids needing community service hours for school (requires adult supervision).
   2.   Donate tables (6′ or 8′ folding tables) to display items for sale (we need LOTS more tables). Please drop-off tables behind our Shelter by this weekend. Kim will be available Wed-Sun, noon – 5:00 PM, to accept the tables. Please be sure they’re marked underneath with your name and phone #.
   3.   Donate items for sale. The more we have to sell, the more funds we can raise to help our animals-in-need. Kim will be at our Shelter every Wed-Sun, noon – 5:00 PM, from now through 17 Oct to accept donations. Please try to drop-off your items during these times, and let your contacts know about these drop-off times. It will help Kim a lot to stick with this schedule. Kim can also definitely use your help with accepting, sorting, pricing, etc.
   4.   Buy treasures!
   5.   Donate bags (paper or plastic) for shoppers to carry items home in.
   6.   Donate boxes to pack leftover items.
Please help us spread the word about our fundraiser by posting on your social contacts pages such as Facebook, Twitter, e-mail, etc. The more items donated, the better our sale, and the more people who shop, the more animals we can help.Â
We really need your assistance to make this a successful fundraiser, and appreciate all your time and help. Kim and her crew have been working hard the last few months to make sure this is a great fundraising event, and offers something for everyone. Please tell your family and friends about this fundraiser for our critters, post to your social network, and come shop to your heart’s content!
We have cards to pass-out to any businesses willing to have them on their counters. If you’re willing to print-out and distro more to businesses you frequent, especially the pet-related ones and any businesses in South County, that would be wonderful. Unfortunately I can’t mass e-mail it out because it bombs-out our system (security controls), but if you’d like the file, I can send it to you individually. Alternatively, if you can’t print them out but are willing to help distro them, please let me know and we’ll get the cards to you. Last request, please let me know where you distro the cards so we don’t duplicate efforts. We’d especially like to distro to all veterinarians, groomers, pet boarding facilities, pet care businesses, etc., so if you can help get the cards to these places, please contact Ava Geddes at (408) 778-7539 or
