A number of projects in San Benito County will receive more than
$2.8 million from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
These projects are currently under construction and are located
in the following areas:
A number of projects in San Benito County will receive more than $2.8 million from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

These projects are currently under construction and are located in the following areas:

– $1.2 million to the County of San Benito for improvements on various county roads, including the Southside Road Overlay project.

– $1.2 million to the City of Hollister for various road improvements, including surface street overlays and replacing existing streetlight heads with new ones.

– $374,000 to the San Benito County Local Transportation Authority to purchase and replace transit buses.

– $76,000 to the to the County of San Benito to construct the San Juan Highway Bike Lanes Project, which will include 2.7 miles of bike lanes.

“We are very pleased that our transportation partners in San Benito County hit the ground running to implement these important projects,” said Caltrans District 5 Director Rich Krumholz.
