Sunny skies and high temperatures are expected again today in South County, with highs expected to surpass 100 degrees. At noon Friday, it was 100 degrees in Hollister. Slightly cooler temperatures are expected Saturday, the first official day of summer, with highs in high-90s. Overnight lows may remain in the 70s in many locations tonight not allowing for structures to cool much, according to the NWS.
A heat advisory remains in effect until 8 p.m. today, and another advisory was issued from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday.
Sunday, temperatures should cool even more, as fog rolls inland over night. Expect highs in the mid-80s.
