There is nothing quite like the smell of a fresh Christmas tree to conjure up memories of holidays past. And some families in San Benito County wasted no time selecting one in the days just after Thanksgiving.

Many showed up at Bourdet’s Christmas Tree Farm near Fairview Road, a location where families can select precut trees or pick one they can cut down themselves. In addition to selecting the perfect tree, families can participate in a sleigh ride around the farm or pick up hot coffee or hot chocolate while they search for their tree.
