Cynthia Catherine Cerdan and Noe Isreal Banales are engaged to be married Feb. 14, 2009.

Cynthia, daughter of Erin and Gabriel Cerdan, graduated valedictorian in 2006 from Anchor Point Christian High School.

Noe, son of Sylvia Mercado, is a 2007 graduate of Anchor Point Christian High School.

Valentine’s Day will never be the same for Cynthia and Noe as they will exchange vows in a small intimate ceremony at New Hope Community Church. They are expecting their first child together in the summer of 2009.

Jeremy Ellis

Air Force Airman Jeremy L. Ellis has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, core values, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and special training in human relations.

He is the son of Tom Ellis of Elkton, Ky., and Dawn O’Fahey of Hollister. He is a 2008 graduate of Todd County Central High School, Elkton.

Taylor Ryan Hinn was born Dec. 24, 2008 at Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose to Ryan and Ingrid Hinn of San Jose. He weighed 8 pounds, 9 ounces.

Olivia Cynthia Marcus

Olivia Cynthia Marcus was born Dec. 24, 2008 at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital to Richard and Alexis Marcus of Hollister. She weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces.

Tim Moon recently celebrated his 50th birthday. Tim, who turned 50 on Dec. 8, 2008, is a Gilroy resident and his kids graduated from local schools. His mom and dad, his children and his new grandson Jarod wish their “hippie” well.
