Krista Sue Morrell and Michael Tucker Vasquez were married Dec. 1, 2007 at Cal Neva Resort in North Lake Tahoe.
Krista is the daughter of Ron and Marilyn Morrell of Morgan Hill. She is an HR representitive at Stellar Nordia in Riverbank.
Tucker is the son of Bobby Vasquez and Kellie Keahey-Chapin of Gilroy. He works in child care for the City of Turlock.
Approximately 125 family and friends enjoyed the beautiful lake and mountain views from the Lake Room Chapel during the wedding. The reception was held in the Indian Room with an enormous Christmas tree and tiny lights above. Everyone enjoyed the celebration, from the 5-star meal to dancing, and toasting the newlyweds.
The couple now resides in Turlock.

Students make Honor Roll
Gilroy residents Cassandra Burrows, Brianna Cassara, Soquel Filice, Bianca Gonzales, Sara Henderson, Ian King, Katherine Kwong, Kaitlin McHale, Heather Miranda, Renzo Segovia and Julianna St. Geme; and San Martin residents Estelle Richardson and Warren Richardson earned positions on the high school Honor Roll at Monte Vista Christian School in Watsonville for first semester 2007-08, with GPAs of 4.0 or higher.

Donna Sooter of Morgan Hill was awarded a bachelor’s degree in business administration, summa cum laude, from Kaplan University on Feb. 2. The university, in Davenport, Iowa, offers more than 100 academic programs and serves 38,000 online and on-ground students.
