HONORS
Nathan Garcia
Nathan Garcia has been promoted to rank of E-5 in the U.S. Coast Guard. He successfully completed leadership training, end-of course testing and national service-wide exam, as well as demonstration of practical skills on the job.
Nathan, son of Pete and Jeanne Garcia of Gilroy, currently lives in Key West, Fla. with his wife Katie and two daughters. He will head his own kitchen on Coast Guard Cutter Drummond based in Key West.
Ben Reynolds
Ben Reynolds received a law degree from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, May 10.
Ben, who lives in Sacramento, is the son of Dick and Maggie Reynolds of Morgan Hill. He is a 2000 graduate of Live Oak High School and a graduate of California State University, Chico.
ENGAGEMENT
Denice/Brigantino
Laura Denice and Ralph Brigantino, both of Hollister, are engaged to marry Aug. 8, 2008.
Laura is the daughter of Albert and Marta Denice of Hollister. She will begin the nursing program at Gavilan in the fall and works part time at San Juan Oaks Golf Club.
Ralph is the son of Chris and Julie Brigantino of Hollister. He is currently employed at Brigantino Irrigation.
The couple became engaged at Christmas time, and their families celebrated with an engagement party on March 30. The party was held in Gilroy at the bride-to-be’s grandfather’s house.
Including the couple’s parents, guests included the bride-to-be’s and groom-to-be’s siblings, grandparents, a great-grandmother and other special guests.
