Kristine Noel Hernandez and Ian Paul Hudson are engaged to be married.

Kristine, daughter of Ismael and Jerrianne Hernandez of Hollister, is a 2003 graduate of San Benito High School and a 2009 graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture science and a minor in animal science. She works for Cal Poly in the BioResource and Agriculture Engineering Department.

Ian, son of Joseph and Katherine Hudson of Hollister, is a 2003 graduate of San Benito High School and a graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture science and a minor in agriculture communication. He is a winemaker for Donati Family Vineyard in Templeton.

The couple resides in San Luis Obispo and plan a Nov. 20, 2010 wedding at Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa.

Bertao/Kline

Daniel Bertao and Lindsey Kline are engaged to be married.

Lindsey, daughter of Ken and Diana Dufur, is a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Daniel, son of Agostinho and Lucilia Bertao, is a salesman for Toyota

The couple plan a small outdoor ceremony with family and friends in 2011 followed by an outdoor reception.

Bernard Knolle

Army Reserve Pvt. Bernard G. Ribeiro Knolle has graduated from basic military training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla., under the Split-option Enlistment Program to serve as a member of the Army National Guard or Reserve.

The program allows students between their junior and senior year of high school to attend basic training during the summer after their junior year. After completing basic training, the recruits will attend National Guard or Reserve weekend drills while still in school. The summer following graduation, the guardsmen or reservists attend advanced individual training in the career specialty they selected at the time they enlisted.

During basic military training, the recruit receives instruction in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history, core values and traditions, basic first aid, foot marches and field training exercises.

He is the son of Arthur Knolle of Gilroy and currently a student of the high school program at Gilroy Early College Academy.
