Military

Brandon Melendy

Army Private Brandon C. Melendy, grandson of Clara Melendy, of Paicines, has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina.

He is now stationed at Fort Aberdeen, Maryland for 12 weeks of advanced individual training before being assigned to his first permanent duty station.

Melendy is following his grandfather Kenneth Craig’s footsteps. Craig is a 22-year retired army veteran who served in Korea and Vietnam.
