A 3.0-magnitude earthquake shook near San Juan Bautista late Friday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The earthquake occurred at 10:53 a.m. Friday and was centered two miles west-southwest of San Juan Bautista, according to the USGS.

The quake also was six miles southeast of Aromas and nine miles west of Hollister. It was at a depth of 3.4 miles.
