The 19th Hole Ranch Rodeo was held last weekend at the Fox Creek Ranch. A huge congratulations goes out to Lacy Bourdet for outroping and outriding all the cowboys there as she won the all-around title for the weekend. She and her partner, Buster Segura, won the ranch team roping and she and Bailee Nelson won for the Jr/Sr in and bye contest. Winning those two events and placing in several other events helped her win the title and a brand new ranch saddle. Way to go, Lacy. How’s that for a brand new mom!

Speaking of being a new mom, congratulations to Richie and Kelly Coefield on the birth of their brand new baby boy. Chase Coefield arrived on July 15. Chase will have all kinds of friends to play with as there seems to be a baby boom happening in Hollister these days!

Todd and I had dinner at the 19th Hole the other night and we got to have a nice visit with Adam and Amy Donati as they were sitting at the table next to us. I got to hold their brand new baby William while they both enjoyed their dinner. Just one more of the Hollister baby boomer club!

Several South County folks headed for the cool, coastal weather of LaHonda last weekend for the 10th Annual Driscoll Ranch Rodeo. Some of those participating from our area included John Flook, David and Ellie Porteur, Cash Robinson and Brody Sans. Congratulations to David and Todd Utterback for winning the Sort and Rope and to Brody for winning the Steer Riding.

If it seems quiet in San Benito this weekend, that’s probably because half of San Benito will be in Elko, Nev. for the wedding of John Rianda and Kyla Prunty. Best wishes to the new bride and groom.
