Happy December, everyone! The countdown has begun – only 22 more days until Christmas. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with your family and friends. Many celebrations took place over the holidays with family and friends. Wherever you were, I’m sure it was chilly!

Jeff and Jean Schmidt celebrated Thanksgiving in Hollister with their daughter Shari and her family, Jeff and Melissa. Their son, Steve Schmidt, also shared the holiday with them before heading back to Berkeley to take in the Cal game.

Laurence and Donna Hansen had a full house as many of their children spent the holiday with them. Their grandson, Russel, has been working for the past eight months in Australia but he came home for Thanksgiving, along with his Australian girlfriend. After spending some time stateside, they both headed back to Australia.

Vern and Jo Ann Scattini hosted Thanksgiving at the Station house. Some of those sharing the day were the Johnsen family, the Roth family, Lynette and Heidi Hurley and the Sans family.

Cynnie, Shane and Kassie O’Connor spent Thanksgiving in Turlock with Sami O’Connor. Sami is living on her own now as she attends nursing school in Turlock so the family decided to go see her instead of her having to come home. They all had an enjoyable day.

Cynnie spent the afternoon with us on Sunday as she was taking senior pictures of Sierra and a few of her friends. I can’t believe we’re taking Senior pictures, ordering graduation announcements and caps and gowns already. Seems like she was just a baby. Geez, time sure does fly by when you’re having fun!

Well, it’s official – my fantasy football team totally stinks. I’m almost in last place and I am completely disappointed in myself and my team. I am such a big football fan I thought I’d do better than this. What a let down! But I already have a strategy for next year, so, look out next year Naughty Football Ladies. I’ll be back with a vengeance!

It’s that time of year again. The NFR starts tonight! Many South County folks are headed to Vegas to take in the action. I wish we were going, too, but it’s a bad time of year for us to get away so we just have to watch it on TV.

Have a great week and be sure to give me a call or e-mail me at [email protected] with any news you’d like to share.
