April showers bring May flowers in South County
May 1 is this weekend and with all the April showers we’ve been
having, we’re sure to have lots of May flowers that will last a
quite a while. I see beautiful wildflowers all up and down Hwy. 25,
but for some strange reason, we don’t have a lot on our place. At
least I can enjoy the scenery on my bus run every day.

In 2010, it will be a big election year in San Benito County with lots of important positions that need to be filled. Jefferson School will be hosting a community-wide forum with some of the candidates who are seeking office for the District 4 supervisor seat and the San Benito County sheriff position. Candidates Phil Fortino and Jerry Muenzer, who are both running for District 4 supervisor, and Darren Thompson and Ray Wood, candidates for sheriff, will all be on hand for a community “meet and greet” gathering.
Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend this event so you can hear what they have to say and what their positions are on the issues you are concerned about. The event will be held on May 5 at 6:30 p.m. at Jefferson School.
