Christmas with friends and family
I hope you all had a great Christmas. It sure was a wet one! Now
that Christmas is officially over, it’s on to 2011.
We celebrated Christmas Eve at our house with more than 50
friends and family members. After having dinner, Santa Claus (aka
Nessen Schmidt, Jr.) stopped by for a visit. There were plenty of
little ones around who enjoyed the visit and even a few big kids as
well. Some of those enjoying the evening included the Hurley
Family, the Schmidt Family, the Popnoe Family, the Garza Family,
Laurence and Donna Hansen, Vern and Jo Ann Scattini, Jeff, Jean and
Steve Schmidt, the Brewen Family and the Barrington Family. My side
of the family even made it down this year. It sure made for a full
house but it was a fun one for sure.

Les and Betty Sans shared Christmas Eve with George, Sandy, Kenny and Tammy Rose along with Gregg, Sami, Rory and Jo Ellen Johnsen. Christmas Day they spent with Mike and Annette Shields.

A huge congratulations goes out to Casey Sabin who got engaged to Krista McNitch Kodl over the Christmas holiday. Casey cleverly welded “Will you marry me, Krista?” onto a decorative windmill that he made for their backyard. How sweet and romantic! Her answer was “yes” so there will be a fun wedding to look forward to in the future. Congratulations, guys.

Get well soon wishes go out to my Mom who is recovering from a knee replacement surgery that she had last Wednesday. She got me a new tripod for my video camera for Christmas so that I can tape all the kids’ basketball games that she has to miss while she’s recovering.

Have a great New Year’s holiday, be safe and drive carefully. If you have any news you’d like to share, be sure to give me a call or e-mail me at [email protected] with any news you’d like to share.
