Belated anniversary wishes go out to David and Cynnie O’Connor who celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary Nov. 21. They spent the day over in Lemoore, gambling at a casino. On their way home, they stopped in Coalinga for dinner at The Mountain Oyster Bar and Grill. The restaurant is owned by Alma Carlsen’s daughters, Betsy and Treva, and Judy Becker. Cynnie said she had one of the best steaks she’s ever eaten there and she highly recommends eating there.

Birthday wishes go out to Tamra Barrington who celebrated her birthday on Mon., Dec. 4th. J.W. and Candace Brewen hosted a birthday barbecue for her on Sunday evening.

The Bitterwater Badgers Lady Basketball team will begin their season this weekend with a noon game on Saturday at Gonzales High School in Gonzales.

The DeRosa’s always have a great display of decorations for every holiday, and this holiday is no exception. Our kids are always excited to see what new decorations they have out each holiday. The Spencers have Santa Claus and his reindeer out near the windmill again as well. Johnny Joe and Darlene Maggini’s house can be seen from the road as they have a nice display of lights on their house, too.

We headed over to Bourdet’s Christmas Tree Farm last Saturday afternoon. It was a very busy day there with families everywhere searching for the best tree, along with hay rides and visits to the petting zoo. The help there is so friendly and ready to help you pack your tree out to the car. We were lucky enough to have Kyle Prewett help us with our tree. There are plenty of trees left so if you haven’t gotten yours yet, I’m sure you’ll find a nice one there.

After we picked out our tree, we stopped by Stan and Jamie Pura’s house for a little holiday gathering.

The Bitterwater Tully School Christmas Program will be held next Fri., Dec. 15th at Tully Hall beginning at 6 p.m.  Jefferson School will be hosting their program the night before.
