South County heats up
Wow, has it ever been hot these days! Indian summer has
definitely arrived in South County, it was well over 100 degrees
for several days last week. And, how about that lightening storm we
had last week as well. There were a few fires started due to
lightening, but not as many as I thought there would have been. As
dry as it’s been this year, figured we’d have some really bad fires
from the lightening, but, I think we got off pretty lucky this
time.

Rural pre-school started back up again this week in South County. Teacher Julie Dupris can be seen driving up and down Hwy. 25 in her little yellow school bus. If you have a child between the ages of 2-5 and live in rural San Benito County, be sure to get in touch with Julie to get your child signed up for her program. It is a wonderful opportunity to give the kids a head start on the educational career.  I know from experience how much the kids learn and how much they enjoy it.
Julie Vierra, staff member from Rabo Bank in Hollister spent last Tuesday traveling around South County delivering school supplies to the schools courtesy of Rabo Bank. She said she had a great time visiting all of the schools and enjoyed the drive as well. I’m sure all of the schools appreciated the supplies.
