Happy holidays from South County
Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you’re all ready for the
holiday as it is now just a few days away. If you haven’t done your
shopping yet, you may be a little too late. By the looks of the
weather maps, we may be getting just what we hoped for, a big, wet
weather system. Let’s just hope it stays together and we get really
wet this week!
Birthday wishes go out to Brody Sans who celebrated his 11th
birthday last week. Brody celebrated with his basketball team last
Thursday after their first game.

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you’re all ready for the holiday as it is now just a few days away. If you haven’t done your shopping yet, you may be a little too late. By the looks of the weather maps, we may be getting just what we hoped for, a big, wet weather system. Let’s just hope it stays together and we get really wet this week!

Birthday wishes go out to Brody Sans who celebrated his 11th birthday last week. Brody celebrated with his basketball team last Thursday after their first game.

It was a packed house at Tully Hall last Wednesday night as Bitterwater Tully School students participated in their annual Christmas program. We missed Alma Carlsen this year as she has been so instrumental in producing our Christmas programs in the past. But, Alma would have been proud of the kids this year too. The kids sang Christmas Carols under the direction of new music teacher Ms. Autotte. We were even treated to some dances courtesy of Twyster Hurley, Michael Kreibhel and Brody Sans! After the music, everyone shared in a delicious potluck and a visit from Santa after. I can’t remember a time when there were so many people there, the concert was a huge success. Some of those from the community who attended included: Jeff and Jean Schmidt, Ruth Records and Roberta Oswald, Donna Hansen, Bill and Robin Rist and Denise and Katie Donham. It was so nice to see Katie and Denise as we don’t see much of them any more since Katie and John are both in high school now.

Many folks headed to Las Vegas last week to take in some National Finals Rodeo action. I wish the NFR was held during a different time of year as we can never get away during this time. Seems everyone I know got to go except for us. Enjoying a few days away included: J.W. and Candace Brewen, Hec and Kasey Hurley, Andy and Tamra Barrington, Casey Sabin, Vern and Jo Ann Scattini and George and Sandy Rose, just to name a few. They all had a great time and made me jealous they were all there.

Our deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of Jim Bob Wilson whose life tragically ended last week in an accident while he was in Hawaii. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

The King City High School Lady Mustangs will be hosting a basketball tournament at KCHS next week, Dec. 28 and 29. This is the team’s only fundraiser for the year so be sure to come out to support the girls. Tickets can be purchased from any Lady Mustang, or at the door.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas with your family and friends. Be sure to give me a call or e-mail me at [email protected] any news you’d like to share. Merry Christmas!
