Celebrating spring in South County
We’re celebrating the beautiful green hills and fields out here
in South County these days. We received another .50 hundredths of
rain at our place last week. If the weather keeps up with a little
rain and a little warmth and sunshine, it may turn out to be a good
year after all.
Celebrating spring in South County

We’re celebrating the beautiful green hills and fields out here in South County these days. We received another .50 hundredths of rain at our place last week. If the weather keeps up with a little rain and a little warmth and sunshine, it may turn out to be a good year after all.

Congratulations to Bitterwater Tully School’s teachers aide, Linzy Lindeman who made the Dean’s List at her college last semester.  Linzy attends the University of Laverne down in Santa Maria several nights a week while working during the days as an aide at the school.  Way to go Linzy!

Ruth Records and Roberta Oswald kept busy last week. They traveled down to Paso Robles last Wednesday evening to take support the Bitterwater Lady Badgers in their first tournament game, then, last Friday, the two traveled to Monterey for the Celebration of Life Fashion Show and luncheon. The luncheon was held at the Hyatt Regency in Monterey.  Modeling from South County included Rhett Falsey and Lynn Gianolini.

The Lady Badgers participated in the Daniel Lewis Middle School Basketball Tournament last week in Paso Robles. It was a great tournament with a lot of tough competition. Once again our ladies made Bitterwater proud. Our girls played extremely tough against Templeton Junior High in the second game, losing by a mere three points. Templeton ended up winning first in the tournament by outscoring their opponent 31-9. Our girls lost to Templeton by a score of 31-28. Overall, we ended up 4th in the tournament out of eight very tough, physical teams. It was a great way to end the season, and, for our 8th grade girls as Badgers.  Next year, its on to high school for Natalie Madson, Katie Donham and Sierra Jo Sans!

Seems half of Bitterwater traveled down to Paso to root on our girls. Those making the trip down to cheer them on included:  Jeff and Jean Schmidt, Joann Scattini, Johnny Joe and Darlene Maggini, Josh and LInzy Lindeman, Bill, Robin and Alberta Rist, Billy and Evan Petrovich and Nathan Davis, Tim Bengard, Kuulei Flores and the entire Madson Family.  Thanks to everyone for your continued support.

Belated birthday wishes go out to Sarah Schmidt who celebrated her 23rd birthday on February 22nd. Her Dad, Nessen, hosted a nice birthday BBQ at his home that evening to celebrate.

Don’t forget to move your clocks ahead this weekend, its time to “spring” forward again. I’m not sure how I’m going to like this business of moving it ahead almost a month earlier, but, we’ll find out next week!

Have a great week, and, if you have any news you’d like to share, be sure to give me a call or e-mail me at
