Tickets are on sale for the concert of the South Valley Symphony scheduled for May 31 starting at 8 p.m. at the Gavilan College Theater.

This year’s concert will feature the South Valley Youth Orchestra teaming up with the symphony in three selections from the motion picture industry’s most memorable films including music from “Chariots of Fire” and various selections from motion pictures featuring the music of Henry Mancini.

Other selections include music from “The Entertainer,” “Dr. Zhivago,” “Gone With the Wind” and a piano concerto from “Spellbound” performed by Conductor Henry Mollicone.

Tickets are available at Snappy Photo on 785 First St.; California Music Company and Porcella’s Music and Accessories located in downtown Gilroy. Tickets are also available at The Music Tree in Morgan Hill; Terry’s House of Candles in San Juan Bautista; and Dorothy Mc Nett’s Place in Hollister.

Prices are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors age 55 and up and $7 for students age 12 to 18. Children under 12 get in for free when accompanied by a paid adult.
