After establishing himself as one of the best pitchers in the Central Coast Section this past season, Diego Fisher was rewarded with an offer from UC Davis that he couldn’t turn down. Fisher, an incoming San Benito High senior, received an offer from the Aggies after taking an unofficial visit to the school on July 15.
Field Hockey: Balers are set up for success
The inaugural season for the San Benito High field hockey team was a rousing success. The Haybalers finished 3-10 overall and 3-6 in Monterey Bay League play. First-year programs at the prep level tend to struggle mightily for obvious reasons, but San Benito won its final two matches against Salinas and York, respectively, both by 1-0 scores.
