On one recent Monday morning, parents and toddlers gathered at the San Benito County Free Library for the weekly newborn story time program for children 18 months to 3 years. The event includes a story and plenty of play time for little ones.

Here, Carole Willette, also known as Ms. Carole, lets Jocelyn Alexander and Rocco Marron play with felt animals as part of the morning’s activities. Other children played with bubbles blown by Ms. Carole. Young Andrew Thacher seemed entranced as a bubble stuck to his finger.

Still other children remained focused on the purpose of the morning’s events – reading with their parents.

Storytime is a weekly thing at the local library and there is a program right for every child.
