HOLLISTER

A contract with Schaaf and Wheeler is set to be approved at Tuesday’s San Benito County Board of Supervisors meeting – for professional engineering and project management services – to manage County Service Area No. 31 from Oct. 14, 2008 through Jan. 31, 2009 at a cost of $50,000.

Other business on the board’s agenda includes the following:

The board will discuss drafting a contract that will include objectives, financial sharing formulas and governance structures for a gang coordinator position. Supervisors also will appoint one member of the board to serve on the Gang Coordination Policy Committee.

The Roof County Administration Building Project received no response to the invitation for bids from contractors. The board will move to award the contract to Stevenson’s Roofing Company in the amount not to exceed $16,548.

The board will move to adopt a resolution to the California Department of Housing and Community Development to give the highest priority in grant awards to non-entitlement communities from the Housing and Economic Recovery of 2008. Entitlement districts can apply for funding even after they have received their allotment.
