Susana C. Flores died Monday, July 7, in her Hollister home at the age of 93.

Flores moved to Hollister in 1955. She was originally from Michoacan, Mexico, and became a U.S. Citizen in 1997, a proud moment in her life. She liked gardening and was a member of Sacred Heart Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Celestino Flores and granddaughter Celia Valencia. Flores is survived by her children and their spouses, Raul and Eva Flores of Murieta, Calif., Celia Valencia of San Jose, Eva and Isaias Perez of Hollister, Isabel and Pedro Ortega of Hollister and Yolanda and Raul Toledo of Hollister. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Friends can pay their respects Thursday afternoon and evening at the Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home chapel. The rosary will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Mass will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Friends can gather at the funeral home chapel at 9:30 a.m. for the procession to the church. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
