Czsarina Isleta recorded two Central Coast Section qualifying times on Friday and the San Benito Lady Balers defeated visiting Notre Dame 129-41.

Isleta, a freshman, clocked a 25.58 in the 50 free and a 5:28.36 in the 500 free, and has now qualified toward the year-end section meet in all eight individual events, as well as all three relays.

“She, as a freshman, has all of her times,” San Benito head coach Christine Schafer said proudly.

The Baler boys compiled several CCS qualifying times as well, although they were times that had already been reached by the swim team, which topped previously undefeated Palma 102-78 on Friday.

It was a clean sweep at the junior varsity level as well. Both Palma and Notre Dame opted for all of its swimmers to compete at the varsity level, allowing the Baler boys to defeat the Chieftains 130-0, the Lady Balers to defeat the Spirits 134-0.

San Benito is off until Friday, May 7, when it will visit Everett Alvarez in Salinas for its final dual meet of the regular season.
