The teacher accused of lewd or lascivious acts with three third-grade students at San Juan School met a reduced bail of $350,000 last week and has been released from jail with some provisions as his court case continues.
Joseph B. Hudson, 58, of Hollister, was released from the San Benito County Jail on Thursday after posting a property bond to meet his $350,000 bail, according to court records. EXPLAIN PROPERTY BOND HERE
Hudson’s bail had been reduced at a court hearing June 3 from the original amount of $500,000, according to records. He posted it the following morning and was released to attorney William Tiffany.
Judge Steven Sanders ordered that Hudson stay at least 100 yards away from any children he has taught in the past two years. He also required that an alcohol monitor be placed on Hudson, who cannnot have or consumer alcohol on his property, according to the judge’s order.
Hudson is accused of inappropriately touching three third-grade students at the San Juan Bautista School. The reported dates for the allegations are ADD IN HERE.
He has pleaded not guilty to all the charges. If convicted, he could spend up to ___ years in prison for each of the counts.
