Thomas D. Butterfield died Nov. 10 at his Hollister home.
He was born in Hollister and was 47 years old. He is a graduate of San Jose State University with a degree in engineering and was employed with Pacific Scientific. He lived in Hollister all of his life and enjoyed time on his computer, playing the guitar and his hobby of remote controlled model airplanes and boats.
He is survived by his sisters and their spouses, Nancy and Ray Valles of Hollister, and Susan and Gil Scrivener of Yakima, Wash.; his nephew, Miles Marquez of Hollister; his aunt and her husband, Phyllis and Herb Gould of Walnut Creek; his uncle and his wife, David and Doris Freeman of Orange; and his aunt, Erma Barber of Fall River. He is also survived by many cousins.
Memorial services will be held at 1pm the day after Thanksgiving, Nov. 26 at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home.
Rev. Ardyss Golden of the United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will follow the memorial services at the IOOF Cemetery.
Arrangements and cremation are through Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home and Gavilan Hills Crematory. Donations are preferred to The American Cancer Society c/o the funeral home.
