Sports Briefs: Test drive event on Saturday to help offset SBHS
athletic department’s budget shortfall
The Baler Backers Athletic Organization will team up with
Tiffany Ford for a test-drive fundraiser this Saturday to help
raise money for San Benito High School athletics, which is
currently undergoing a $100,000 budget shortfall.
Tiffany Ford will donate $20 to the Baler Backers for each test
drive taken by the public. The event will be held at the Andy
Hardin Stadium parking lot, located on the campus of San Benito
High School, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Each test drive is on-site, and
will last no more than 10 minutes.
There will be supervision for children during the event, as well
as music, a Bounce House, food and fun.
Test-driver’s must be 18 years or older and have a valid
California driver’s license. Only one test drive is allowed per
household.
The athletic department needs to raise $100,000. Otherwise,
freshmen sports will be cut from the program next year.
