Here are some things to do in San Benito County this weekend.

Yule Benefit Concert: The Rock Guitar Club will host the Yule Benefit Concert Dec. 1 at the San Benito High School auditorium. Proceeds will be split between the Hollister Animal Shelter and helping cover the cost of advanced placement tests. Featured performers include Smith Alley, Subtle Agenda, Conserve, Burned on the Stake, Dark Horse, Battalion and Trophy Kids (who recently signed with a label in Los Angeles.) Tickets are $10 at the door.

Breakfast with Santa: Hollister Recreation, the San Benito Key Club and Kiwanis International Dec. 1, from 8 to 11 a.m. Tickets are $7 for guests 13 and older or $6 for senior citizens. Pictures with Santa are $7. The first 250 children ages 12 and under get in free to the breakfast. There will be a $4 charge for additional children.

12 Days of Giving: The Community Foundation and United Way, partnering with six local nonprofits, will be collecting monetary donations, toy, canned food and clothing donations Dec. 1, from noon to 4 p.m. in front of the following stores: Baler Market, Hollister Super, Kmart, Nob Hill, Target, Safeway, SaveMart and Windmill Market (in San Juan Bautista.) The donations will be split between six safety net agencies, including Court Appointed Special Advocates, Community Food Bank for San Benito County, the Salvation Army, Emmaus House, Homeless Coalition for San Benito County and Cahmberlain’s Children Home. Monetary donations will be matched up to $20,000. A community celebration will be held Dec. 8, at Tiffany Ford, 300 Gateway Drive. Details: 630-1924 or 12daysofgiving.info.

Blood drive: The Leslie L. Garratt Post 6359 VFW will sponsor a community blood drive Dec. 2, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Post, 58 Monterey St., in San Juan Bautista. The bloodmobile will be located in the parking lot, with Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula staff members drawing blood. For details or information on eligibility, call 831-625-4814.

Airmen’s Holiday Party: Hollister Airmen’s Association invites the community to its annual Holiday Party at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, at Paines Restaurant, 421 East St. Enjoy dinner, silent auction and a gift exchange (if you wish to participate).
