The lighting in Hollister took place at 5:30 p.m. Friday and it will remain on throughout the Christmas season. It was the second of four similar lighting ceremonies throughout the Central Coast region.

Each of the tree structures is made of hundreds of lights, many dedicated in the name of someone and representing a donation to support local hospice care services. In all, about 2,500 lights are dedicated on the four Trees of Life.
