Geological Survey.
Two small earthquakes occurred this week in the same area outside of Hollister two days apart, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The first one was a magnitude-2.9 earthquake on Sunday at 7:20 a.m. The epicenter was outside of Hollister along Shore Road between Lovers Lane and Lake Road, according to the USGS and Google Maps.

The second quake was a magnitude-3.1, and it was at nearly the same location, according to the USGS.
