Column: Drought conditions will continue into 2015

As the skies begin to open up and bless us with some rain, the reality is that our water supplies are so depleted that even a normal rain year would not be enough to end our local drought conditions. So we will all need to continue the water saving practices we have started. If it’s another dry year, we will need to save even more.

Rally promoter optimistic on opening day

On the first day of the Hollister Freedom Rally, it was already apparent to some that the event was off to a good start. Mayor Ignacio Valazquez said by what he was seeing, it appeared the rally was going to be bigger than the previous year’s rally.
