Viron B. Bowen died Dec. 26.

He was born in Corinth, Miss. and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, before moving to California 60 years ago. He was a painter for Ford Motor Company for 30 years. He loved life and giving to others – enjoying greatly what he could give to others.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years.

He is survived by his daughter and her husband Linda and Steve Morioka of Hollister; his son James Bowen; and stepson Gerald Dew; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 31 from 11am to noon at Johnson Funeral Home in Morgan Hill. Funeral services will follow the visitation at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery in Morgan Hill.
