HOLLISTER

The Willow Grove School District Board of Governors last week filled the open trustee position by provisionally appointing Dorinda Rivera.

The board is replacing David Hopecroft, who resigned on Oct. 13. The board chose Rivera after advertising in the newspaper and sending flyers to voters in the district for those interested in filling the position.

The appointment will become permanent after 30 days unless a petition for a special election is filed at the Office of the County Superintendent of Schools, at 460 Fifth St., or by residents can call by phone at 637-5393.
