The San Benito County Wine Growers Association presents its first Passport Weekend in which a number of county wineries play host to an exciting two days of fun and fine wines.

The wine weekend is scheduled for June 21-22 and features the Calera Wine Company, DeRose Winery, Flint Wine Cellars, Leal Estate Vineyards, Pessango Winery and Pietra Santa Winery.

Upon arriving at one of the two designated starting locations, participants will receive a complimentary commemorative wine glass and a San Benito County Wine Association passport, entitling each event-goer to special treatment as they visit the six participating wineries.

Each winery will offer a special, private area set aside for passport participants, who can enjoy music, gourmet food, exclusive wines and more.

Also, once your passport has been stamped by all six featured wineries, you qualify for the completion prize. Participants must be 21 or older.

The cost for the weekend is $25 per person or $15 for designated drivers.

The deadline for advance tickets is June 15 and you can pick up your passport and wine glass the day of the event at Dorothy McNett’s Place, 800 San Benito St., or at Leal Estate Vineyards.
