As of Monday, Former Pinnacle reporter Kate Woods remained in critical condition following a single-car accident Oct. 17 on Panoche Road, a spokeswoman with Regional Medical Center of San Jose said today.

The 52-year-old Paicines resident was airlifted from the scene at Panoche and Recaldi roads that night after being found by the California Highway Patrol unconscious. At about 11:30 p.m., Woods drove a 1995 Mazda Miata off the road. The CHP reported that the vehicle turned over and she was ejected from the car.

Since the accident, she has been listed in critical condition at the San Jose hospital. By law, the hospital is barred from releasing anything beyond the one-word status.
