The registration fee of $260 per player covers the cost of gym rentals – including two hours of practice per week, minimum – referees, uniforms, insurance, pictures, equipment, clinic attendance, all-star fees and administration.
NJB requires that all players receive two full quarters of playing time per game as a way to develop participants’ confidence in and enthusiasm for the sport.
Three skills evaluations will be held at Rancho San Justo Middle School’s gymnasium at 1201 Rancho Drive. Registration can be done during these events.
They will be held Sunday, Oct. 9 and 16 from 1-2 p.m. for third- and fourth-graders; 2:30-3:30 p.m. for fifth- and sixth-graders; and 4-5 p.m. for seventh- and eighth-graders.
Late sign-ups and make-ups will be held Sunday, Oct. 23. The league is holding preseason open gyms for all ages on Thursdays through Oct. 27 at Rancho from 5:30-7 p.m. A $2 per player fee will help cover the cost of the gym rental.
