Roundup: Anzar girls basketball team grabs CCS berth

The Hawks finished the regular season with a 62-28 loss to Pacific Collegiate on Friday, but earned a berth in the Division V CCS playoffs.
The Hawks, who finished the season 8-15 and 6-4 in the Coastal Athletic League, will travel to East Palo Alto at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
In Friday’s game, Leslie Martinez led the Hawks with 10 points.
AHS boys basketball
The boys basketball team finished its season with a 81-25 loss to Pacific Collegiate on Thursday.
Anzar finished with a 2-10 record in the Coastal Athletic League and a 3-22 record overall.
AHS girls soccer
Despite finishing the season with a 4-2 win over Kirby, the Hawks missed out on a playoff spot.
Anzar finished the season with a 6-4 league record and a 12-8 record overall.
In the finale, Brianna Miltimore scored twice and Ali Bautista and Valerie Perez each added a goal. Keeper Noemy Vazquez saved 15 shots in the win.
