A white pick up truck is loaded onto a tow truck after an accident at the intersection of Hwy. 156 and Hwy. 25.

An accident at the intersection of Hwy. 156 and Hwy. 25 slowed traffic this morning when a black Ford explorer collided with a white pick up truck, according to a California Highway Patrol report.

The original report came in at 8:34 that a big rig ran a red light and collided with the truck. As officers arrived on the scene, they found it was the Ford explorer and the pick up truck.

Several fire trucks, Hollister Police and California Highway Patrol officers responded to the scene of the accident. Tiffany Motor Towing was called the scene at 8:45 a.m. and the white pick up truck at been loaded to be towed away by 9:00 a.m.

CHP officers directed those heading south on Hwy. 156 onto eastbound Hwy. 25. Traffic backed up on northbound Hwy. 156 as the scene was cleared. The CHP reported the scene cleared at 9:22 a.m.
