The Hollister Police Department is searching for seven suspects
involved in an attempted murder that occurred Jan. 4 at Park Hill,
according to a statement released by police.

The Hollister Police Department is searching for seven suspects involved in an attempted murder that occurred Jan. 4 at Park Hill, according to a statement released by police.
The incident in the 300 block of Hill Street is being investigated as being gang related, according to the report.
Officers were dispatched to the area around 10:27 p.m. after a report of a man down on the road. Officers found a 39-year-old Hollister man on the ground with injuries to his head and face.
The man received immediate medial attention and was flown to a Bay Area medical center for additional treatment. He is in critical condition in the Bay Area hospital.
Witnesses’ reports described seven Hispanic suspects between the ages of 18 to 24 years old involved with the attack. The suspects were described as wearing dark or red clothing.
They were last seen running northbound from the area.
Later in the day, the department, with the help of the sheriff’s office, searched the area near Park Hill to look for more information or evidence regarding the case. After four hours of searching, police came away with multiple leads.
“It was a productive search,” Sgt. George Ramirez said. “We are following up on leads right now.”
