The Anzar High girls’ soccer team continued its dominance over
Coastal Athletic League opponents on Tuesday when it cruised past
host Marina by a sizable 11-0 margin.

The Anzar High girls’ soccer team continued its dominance over Coastal Athletic League opponents on Tuesday when it cruised past host Marina by a sizable 11-0 margin.

The league win for the Hawks comes after a 4-0 victory against Georgiana Bruce Kirby on Friday, and improves Anzar to 2-0 in the CAL and 4-4-1 overall.

Both Jessica Stofer and Sydnee Masuen had three-goal hat tricks for the Hawks, Brianna McCain had three assists, while Brianna Miltimore added four assists in the game.

Alex Flores had a goal and a pair of assists on Tuesday, while Hakima Hossainzadeh, Brianna McCain, Nicki Seymour and Stephanie Lavarone each added a score to the Hawks’ tally.

The team led 5-0 at halftime.

Anzar is expecting its toughest league test on Thursday, when it will host Pacific Collegiate in San Juan Bautista at 4 p.m.

In its final game of the Watsonville Tournament on Monday, the Anzar girls soccer team lost 3-0 to Santa Catalina.
